Public Speaking Workshops
Febuary 14 and 28 3:00pm to 4:30pm - Main Library |
 |
Does the thought of speaking in public put your stomach in knots? Experienced Toastmaster and veteran speech-maker Norm Bungard has developed a fun program to help you gain confidence and develop your speaking skills. Participants will explore various types of talks--from wedding toasts and sales pitches to more formal speeches.
Norm has given thousands of speeches during his career and, even in retirement, continues to participate in Toastmasters. Norm has experience working with people of all ages. He created and continues to oversee a "Toastmasters for Kids" program for the Pinellas County Schools and encourages everyone to partipate in this free program. At January 10th's introductory session, Norm will answer your questions and outline the plan for future meetings.
(Please note that this is not a formal Toastmasters Club but it will follow similar guidelines. Participants will practice speaking and will also serve as timekeepers and "grammarians" for other participants.) |
