Pinellas County Health Care Navigators
Saturday, January 31 - 10:00am - 2:00pm
Pinellas County Navigators are available to assist you in looking for and enrolling in health coverage options through the Marketplace. Navigators can explain various options, price packages and benefits available through the Affordable Care Act, assist in determining eligibility for coverage and where you fit on the sliding scale of subsidies and tax credits, explore any free or low-cost programs for which you may qualify, provide referrals to alternative medical care coverage when appropriate, and offer enrollment assistance so you get the health care package that is the best fit for your family's needs.

The New Music Conflagration Presents True Creative Stories – Autumn Widdoes

The New Music Conflagration, Inc. presents a new series, which delves into the creative process of artists working in various mediums who use music as a means of expression or inspiration. Autumn is a teacher, a writer, and a performance/hybrid-theater artist whose work explores the multiple intersections between written and spoken language and movement/dance. She is particularly interested in the transmission of memory, both cultural and personal, as well as temporality and its interconnections to environment and place.

The New Music Conflagration, Inc. presents a new series, which delves into the creative process of artists working in various mediums who use music as a means of expression or inspiration. Katherine Kylila Bullard is the founder of Poetic Change an organization, which seeks to create positive outlets to release, promote collective success through community, and provide avenues to heal. A talented poet and entrepreneur, Bullard uses her organization as a forum to work with artist across a variety of different mediums to inspire recognition for all voices and healing for all people.

Cellist Mikel Thomas, praised for “crystal clear” interpretations, currently resides in Tampa, Florida. Experienced in many different fields of music, he is frequently featured as a chamber musician, orchestral soloist, and in solo recitals.

Come join The New Music Conflagration, Inc. for a hands-on afternoon with music! We will provide many instruments from the worlds of orchestral music as well as world and electronic music for members of the public to try. Perhaps you will find your new hobby or lifelong passion! We will also have a station for children and adults of all ages to make their own musical instruments, which they can take home!

Barbara Post-Askin was born June 5, 1931 and grew up in Brooklyn, New York during the Great Depression and World War II. In her memoir, Reflections of Liberty, the stories of Barbara Post-Askin illuminate the forgotten potential of the American people as she recaptures the memories of struggles and triumphs during many of the darkest years of this country’s history.

Accepting adult English language learners for no-cost tutoring. All skill levels welcome. Volunteers also needed to work one-to-one with an adult English as a Second Language student to improve conversational English. Application and registration is required.
