Friends Antiques Appraisal Fair
Saturday, November 8, 10:30am - 2:00pm
The Friends of the St. Petersburg Main Library’s Antiques Appraisal Fair offers a chance to get your antiques evaluated by local appraisers. Program attendance is free and open to all; no reservation is necessary. Antique items will be individually appraised for $5.00 each or three items for $12.00. All proceeds raised will support library programs and improvements. Attendees are welcome to bring smaller antiques, collectibles and books. Please do not bring antique firearms or large items, such as furniture; evaluations for these will not be available.

International Games Day @ Your Library

An Evening With Local Author Velva Heraty

Ms. Heraty is a nationally recognized expert on dreams. She received her Masters of Social Work from Loyola University, Chicago and her Depth Psy-chotherapist Certification from the Jung Institute in Evanston, IL. She is a member of the International Association for the Study of Dreams and the So-ciety of Professional Journalists. She will be discussing her book, The Dream Belongs to the Dreamer. The discussion will be followed by a book signing.

Accepting adult English language learners for no-cost tutoring. All skill levels welcome. Volunteers also needed to work one-to-one with an adult English as a Second Language student to improve conversational English. Application and registration is required.

Our Reading Buddies program matches elementary age kids with adult Reading Buddies. Kids practice their reading skills by reading out loud to their Buddies.
