Wednesday, May 23rd- Master Gardener Terry Berube will demonstrate repotting orchids.  Dividing and care will be discussed.

June 27th- Dale Armstrong from Pinellas County Extension will speak on how to achieve a Florida Friendly yard. Create a landscape which is beautiful yet saves water and protects the environment.

July 25th- Dale Sena of the Tampa Bay Begonia Society presents Begonias 101. Everything you need to know to start raising these beautiful and versatile plants.

African American Genealogy

Librarian and Pinellas Genealogy Society instructor Harriet Thompkins will present a class on African-American Genealogy at the Childs Park Branch Library/YMCA on Monday, June 4, 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Ms. Thompkins will demonstrate how African Americans can research their family histories, and will use personal experiences to show challenges, techniques and strategies to uncover the family trees of this specialized population.
